Guidelines and Procedures during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Below please find a brief summary of the on-site guidelines for holding religious education in our Parish. Our goal is to provide opportunities for our students and their families to encounter Christ and grow in their Catholic Faith while keeping all safe from harm. Please note that as more is discovered regarding COVID-19, these protocals and guidelines may be revised.
Staff and Volunteers should stay home if they do not feel well.
Staff and Volunteers should stay home if they were within six feet of a person with COVID-19
All staff will be provided with masks and gloves.
Signage has been placed throughout the school to promote social distancing, reminders of mask requirements and entrance requirements. Sanatizing station has been installed on the first floor.
Classrooms, bathrooms and hallways will be disinfected before and after each session.
Parents must not leave the premises until their child passes screening. Parents should monitor the health of their child for signs of infection and keep them home if they are not feeling well.
When the weather allows, the Sunday program (1st, 2nd & 3rd grades) will meet their Catechist in the corral where temperatures will be taken and screening questions asked. Social distancing will be enforced. The Monday Program will come to the front door and again parents must accompnay then until they pass screening. Those attendng class on Tuesday (5th & 6th grades) will meet in the corral where the screening process will take place before entering the building. Finally on Wednesday (7th & 8th grades) will meet in the corral as well for screening. Again parents must remain with their son/daughter to ensure that they pass the screening. During inclement weather and the winter months we will use the Knights ofColumbus Hall under the school to conduct screenings before going to class.
Classes will dismiss one at a time. Please do not congregate outside of the school!
Please note that any parents that can not or are not comfortable participating in the on-site blended model will recieve all the resourses, guidance and support for formation done in the home.
Please see the calendar for information on Parent Meeting dates and times. During these meetings, all procedures and protocols new to the program will be reviewed and books will be distributed.
